It's time to publish the second timeline of October, covering the main cyber attacks happened in the second half of the month, plus some additional events that occurred before this period, but were discovered or disclosed in the considered interval. This timeline contains 119 events, so apparently the break in the previous timelines was just an illusion. It's time to catch up with the timelines, so let's go with a new one collecting the main cyber events occurred in the second half of May. In this timeline I have collected "only" 72 events, including 9 occurred in the previous weeks, so definitely a sharp drop in comparison to the numbers we have been used to in the previous weeks, after the beginning of the COVID-19 crisis. Here we are again with the mega breaches...
After a short break it's time to catch up with the timelines, so today let's publish the first timeline of May where I have collected 114 events (including one occurred in April), a number that confirms that the growing trend driven by the COVID-19 pandemic and by the increasing number of ransomware attacks continues. Unfortunately the emotional distress of these hard times makes the potential victims even more vulnerable.
